After Glass Railing Insallation

Andrew first asked us to fabricate exterior railings for him at his father’s house. They wanted something simple, yet stylish without being too costly. So we promptly designed a railing system that matched the curve of their stairs and the look of the house.

The railings turned out better than they had imagined and so the began to consider the possibility of adding hand rails on their house. They decided to go with glass because they wanted to enjoy the view from their balcony and be able to see their children play in the backyard from inside the house. So we fabricated the frame of the railings with 4″ posts that extended from the deck below to the balcony above, such that it would support the entire weight of the balcony. We used 6mm tempered glass with zinc coated clips. Then we galvanized it and powder coated for added protection.
